I am an associate professor at the University of California, Davis, where I work primarily in the School of Medicine and the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing.
My research intersects with topics in ethics, nursing, cognitive science, and the social sciences. I am particularly interested in how scientific progress sometimes can be ethical progress, and ethical progress sometimes can be scientific progress.
